In the spin-coating process a polymer film is deposited. During the fast solvent evaporation the film vitrifies rapidly. It is experimentally difficult to characterize properly the conformational properties of the glassy polymer chains in the slit.
This computational study (project members: S. Peter, H. Meyer, J. Baschnagel) attempts therefore to characterize in detail the influence of the production history on the elasto-plastic behavior of the film and its glassy dynamics.
